Are you having a problem with warts? Do you want to know how to get rid of warts? Well, the good news is you have found the right article to get more information on your warts. Before we go into how to get rid of warts, it is important that we understand what warts are and what causes the. Remember they always say prevention is better than cure.

What causes warts?

Warts are caused by what is called the human papilloma virus (HPV). There are different types of warts and the most common warts are the rough looking lesions often found on people's hands and fingers.

There is another type, which is much smaller and smoother. this type can be found on the hands and fingers too, but usually likes to show up on the face and eyes. You can also get warts on your feet and in your genital area, the so called genital warts.

The good thing about warts is that they usually appear on the surface of the skin. The one type of warts you should really fear is genital warts they are very contagious and have been blamed for most cases of cervical cancer as well as decreases in sperm in man.

There are many ways to get rid of warts:

If you go to your doctor, he or she may freeze the wart with liquid nitrogen. A blister will form around the wart and the dead tissue will fall off after a week. Other medications, such as Cantharidin, Bleomycin and Aldara can be injected into the wart. Another alternative treatment would be minor surgery, where the wart is cut away or laser surgery where the laser beam burns and destroy wart tissue. The last method is usually used for warts which are difficult to treat.

If you decide to go the natural way, here are a few remedies you can use to get rid of warts. The first thing you could do is drink herbal tea with lemon grass, chamomile and green teas. Drink at least 2 to 3 cups each day. Another thing you could do is make sure you wear 100% cotton underwear only, make sure to change the underwear more than once a day. Use only natural detergent to wash and clean your cotton underwear. Lastly, here's a method that only works on the common type of warts. Tape up the wart and leave it like that for up to a week then remove the tape. You may have to repeat this procedure for up to four weeks before the warts disappear.

Can warts be prevented?

Well, you can certainly prevent warts from spreading by not picking at them if you already have warts. You can use bandages to cover them up. Warts also seem to be harder to control when in moist conditions, always try to keep your hands as dry as possible. Although it is sometimes tempting, do not shave, comb or brush areas where warts are present, this may cause the virus to spread. If you happen to touch your warts make sure

Genital Warts Can Be Spread Through Foreplay

Because the human papillomavirus (HPV) is spread through skin to skin contact, it is quite common for genital warts to be spread through foreplay. Penetration is not necessary and a condom will not necessarily protect you from genital warts even in foreplay because it may not cover all of the affected area.

The virus that causes genital warts is passed by direct contact during foreplay or intercourse with a wart or skin that is infected with the virus. It is possible to get the warts on the hands and in the mouth during foreplay or oral sex. About 50 percent of the people who are infected with HPV never develop genital warts, but are still capable of transmitting the virus to others through foreplay or intercourse. Intimate skin contact such as dry humping and genital to genital contact during foreplay can easily transmit the virus that causes warts.

The reason a condom may not protect you during intercourse or foreplay is that it does not cover the base of a man?s penis, his pubic hair or scrotum (places where HPV may lurk).Skin to skin contact is all that is necessary so rubbing during foreplay (when a condom often isn?t used) can deposit the virus. Washing with soap and water after foreplay or sexual intercourse can help reduce your chances of getting genital warts during foreplay.

For many people with HPV infection, there are no obvious signs of infection, such as genital warts. However, if warts are present, a doctor can diagnose HPV infection by their characteristic appearance and by obtaining a history of how they may have been obtained through sexual intercourse or foreplay. In women, doctors often use a colposcope, (a telescope with a very powerful magnifying lens) to diagnose genital warts. PAP smears can also be good indicators of HPV infection.

If you know that you are infected with genital warts, it is very important that you tell your partner before you engage in foreplay or intercourse. Then your partner can make an informed decision about whether it is worth the risk.

If you have genital warts, talk to your doctor about ways to minimize the chances of infecting a partner during foreplay or intercourse. Your physician can advise you on the best way to manage your sexual life, including foreplay, when you are infected with HPV.

Skin Tags Treatment and Symptoms

To begin with, it is important to know that the symptoms of skin tag are not the same for all. This means that what the symptoms are for one person may not be the same for another. And this is precisely where the problem begins from making it difficult to properly diagnose the disease. Skin tags are a medical problem ? a skin disease that can appear almost anywhere on the skin of an affected individual. But the problem is these tags (that are actually growths or small bumps on the skin) look a lot like other skin disorders and are thus sometimes wrongly interpreted as other diseases and not skin tags or Acrochordons.

Yes that is right. As mentioned previously, the symptoms of skin tag are not the same for all. While in some they are brown colored, fleshy in appearance and smooth; in others the tags might be irregular in shape and look a lot more pigmented. They may also differ in size from anywhere between 1 mm to 5 cm?s.

So how to know if someone has skin tags or not? A good way to understand the symptoms is by noticing them at the very beginning ? just when the growths are beginning to appear on the skin. Because at the start, the tags look almost the same for all. They appear as small and soft bumps that seem to hang from the skin. And if they can be twisted with relative ease, then they are probably skin tags. These tags almost always come with no pain ? so this is another symptom.

Now that is a big question. Because many believe that since skin tags naturally occur with age and because of the fact that they are painless and are otherwise harmless ? no treatment is thus necessary. But the symptoms of skin tag can still be quite bother and a social embarrassment, particularly when they appear in the visible portions of the skin like arms, face etc. Also when the tags are twisted too much, they can lead to blood clots and when this happens it becomes painful.

So it is best to seek treatment when there are symptoms of skin tag and not neglect the condition. But sadly that is not the case, as a huge section of the population tends to do just this. And considering the fact that a big percentage of the adult population (some even say that as many as 50% or more seniors) is affected with the symptoms of skin tag, the problem suddenly assumes a big proportion.

Luckily, there are good solutions that can heal the symptoms of skin tag within just 2 to 6 weeks. Many of them are natural products that are completely safe to use as well. They can be used by pregnant women and children (though mostly aged people have the tags). And once the product has been used to cure the symptoms of skin tag, the tags never come back again.
